Sometimes life leaves us feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, disconnected from ourselves, or simply out of balance. Reiki offers us a gentle space to pause, rest, and reconnect.
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that supports the body's natural ability to restore balance and wellbeing. the word Reiki combines two Japanese words : Reiki, meaning universal, and Ki, meaning life force energy.
Everything in nature carries energy, including ourselves. when life feels stressful, demanding or emotionally challenging, many people describe feeling depleted, exhausted, or "out of sorts". Reiki works gently with the body's natural energy systems, encouraging deep relaxation and supporting overall wellbeing.
At its heart Reiki is a nurturing therapy that works on physical, emotional, mental, and energetic levels. Many people find Reiki during times of stress, anxiety, grief, burnout, life transitions, or when they simply feel called to spend some time caring for themselves.
As a Reiki Master Teacher, I create a calm, supportive, and compassionate space where you manfully relax and receive. Reiki is not something that is done to you; its and opportunity for your body, mind, and spirit to rest, rebalance and restore.
Reiki is not limited to people. as a gentle universal energy , it can also be shared with animals and plants. Many animals appear naturally receptive to Reiki, often responding with signs of relaxation and calm, while plants are often seen by many practitioners to benefit from the same nurturing and care.
Reiki reminds us of the connection we share with the plant and animal kingdom, and the importance of harmony within ourselves and the natural world.
Your appointment will begin with a consultation where we can discuss your health, wellbeing, and what you hope to gain from your Reiki experience.
You will remain fully clothed throughout the treatment and will be made comfortable on a treatment couch. The session is designed to be deeply relaxing, allowing you time to switch off from the demands of everyday life.
During the treatment I channel Reiki energy through light touch, or with my hands held just above the body. I also work intuitively, allowing the session to flow according to your individual needs.
Every Reiki experience is unique. Some people notice sensations such as warmth, coolness, tingling, or gentle waves of energy. Others experience emotional release, vivid imagery, deep relaxation, or simply a sense of peace and calm. There is no right or wrong experience.
Many clients leave feeling lighter, calmer, more grounded, and better able to cope with life's challenges.
A Gentle Path Back To Balance
Reiki is a safe , non-invasive therapy that can work beautifully as a stand alone therapy, or alongside other holistic treatments or conventional healthcare. It is not intended to diagnose or cure, but to support the body as a whole. It supports overall wellbeing and the body's natural healing processes.
Whether you are seeking relaxation, emotional support, energetic balance, or simply an hour to nurture yourself, Reiki offers a gentle invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and create space for healing.
Healing does not always mean fixing something that is broken. Sometimes it simply means giving yourself permission to rest, listen, and return to balance.
Reiki For Women
As women, we move through so many transitions throughout our lifetime. From our first menstrual cycle through fertility, pregnancy, motherhood, perimenopause, and menopause, each stage brings it's own physical, emotional, and energetic changes.
Reiki offers a gentle nurturing space to support you through these transitions. Many women seek Reiki when they are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stressed, anxious, disconnected or simply in need of time to focus on themselves.
Reiki can provide support during:
Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs, creating a space where you can slow down, reconnect, and restore balance.
Reiki During Pregnancy
Just like reflexology, Reiki can be especially supportive during pregnancy, offering a gentle opportunity to relax, rest, and connect with your growing baby. Many expectant mothers find that Reiki helps them feel calmer, more balanced, and better able to navigate the physical and emotional changes that pregnancy can bring.
Creating moments of deep relaxation during pregnancy can benefit both mother and baby. One of the most beautiful things I have observed over the years is that babies whose mothers have received regular Reiki while pregnant often arrive into the world calm, and easy to settle. While every baby is unique, many mothers have shared that they felt Reiki helped them to create a deeper sense of connection and wellbeing throughout their pregnancy journey.
Reiki can also provide valuable support during the postnatal period, helping mothers take time to rest, restore and nurture themselves while adjusting to life with a new baby.
